In 1943, Mercy Hospital School of Nursing graduated the classes of fall, 1942 and spring, 1943. Students included, from left to right: front row, Delia Gray ('42), Edna Houle ('42), Lucy Troiano ('43), Barbara Smith ('43). Back row: Peggy Hinds ('42), Dottie Carroll Young ('43), Margaret Cox ('43), Mary Ragan ('42), Clyde Slaughter ('43), Virginia Cooper ('43), Sylvia Webster ('42), Mary Kelley ('42), and Norma Godsoe ('43).
A Note from class member Margaret Hinds is written on the back of the photograph: "Out of the small class 3 were naval officers: Troiano, Cooper, and Slaughter. 2 received degrees in nursing education from Catholic University- Mary Catherine Ragan and Margaret Hinds Bell."
