Description
Bernice Childs, left, and Edith Young, in a photo taken by Richard J. Turcotte. The three were residents of Pownal State School together, although this photo may have been taken after all had left the New Gloucester facility.
Childs, who died in 1966 at age 65, lived in Portland. Young, who was born about 1910, probably was motherless or an orphan when she went to Pownal State School.
