Description
The Spring House, the source of Poland Mineral Spring Water.
Hiram Ricker, proprietor of the Poland Spring resort and water company, is in the center bottom of the photo handing a glass of water to a guest. He has long, white mutton chops.
Hiram Ricker, his father Wentworth, and other members of the family experienced drastically improved health from drinking water from the spring on their property and began marketing it along with the resort for healthful living.
