Description
This "Flash-light picture" was taken at a fete at the Poland Spring resort in September 1901. The Poland Spring House can be seen in the background.
The resort drew summer guests for golf, relaxation, musical and other cultural entertainments and the rest and refuge that Maine's clean air and rural nature could offer.
