Description
First fall term, 1884 at The Model School in Farmington. Note dated Sept. 1925 on back of photo states that one of the teachers is "Ms. Johnson, now Mrs. Western." The male teacher in the photo is probably George Purrington. As this was the first year of the Model School, the building the students are located in front of is probably the May School original building. The elements of the building that can be seen in this photo are the same as the May School.
