Description
This Kodachrome slide from the Roy Lawrence Collection, Bath Historical Society, shows Roy's Market on the southeast corner of Centre and Washington Streets. The superstructure of the Carlton Bridge is visible in the background; the traffic light in the foreground is one of only two in the City of Ships. Roy's Market was a fixture in this neighborhood for more than fifty years, from the early 1930s to the late 1980s, specifically at this corner location from 1959 to 1985.
