Description
Storefront window and archery display of Dakin Sporting Goods Co. owned by Everett S. "Shep" Hurd and located at 25 Central Street.
The Brady Gang, wanted for multiple robberies and murders, purchased firearms and ammunition from this store in the fall of 1937 prior to their famous shootout with law enforcement officers on October 12, 1937 at about 8:30am on the street in front of the store.
