Description
The Paramount Theater in Fort Fairfield billed itself as the "Showplace of the North."
"The Secret Call," released in 1931, was playing at the theater.
Raymond R. Johnston had the Downing Co. of Presque Isle build the theater. It opened in April 1930 as a modern "picture house."
Saturday afternoon movies usually included a western, a comedy, the Bowery Boys, Abbot and Costello. a newsreel and a cartoon.
