Description
A 1925 baseball game in progress at the Guilford Athletic Field. This is a view of the ball field after the grandstand was built. Bleachers were added later, down the left field foul line, with a high fence to protect the fans. This field was, and still is, located between Water Street and the Piscataquis River. The Preble Farm, on the north side of Water Street, can be seen in the background. The Preble Farm is the current home of Guilford Hardware.
