Description
Saw logs are coming over the dam in the late 1800s in Guilford. These were large 20 foot logs destined for different saw mills further down the river. River drives were very hazardous for the drivers and many men were injured trying to free log jams. The covered bridge was razed and a steel bridge built in 1907.
