Description
A 1908 postcard showing a boom chain stretched across the Piscataquis River from Boom Island to the shore on each side. A few logs have started to collect. The Guilford High School is visible on the left and the Elm Street Methodist Church is on the right. The Scales building is in the middle of the photofraph. The postcard is postmarked July 10, 1909 with a 1 cent Franklin postage stamp.
