Description
Taken in the summer of 1891 of the Samuel Carter homestead on Long Island in Blue Hill Bay. Pictured in front are S.W. Carter and his wife Abbie Jane Carter; their little girl Blanch A. Carter who eventually married Enoch Grindle; and their baby Esther H. Carter who later married Frank Leighton. This home was located in the southwest shore region on the south side of the main road on the island.
