Description
Sketch included in a letter to his mother, Hannah Rogers, by son Frederick H. Rogers. He was writing home in October of 1861 about his experiences in the Civil War. Lawson's Hill was near Franconia in Fairfax County Virginia. The 3rd Maine, 40th and 32nd New York Regiments were also encamped there.
