Description
The location appears to be near the Hallowell Granite Works Quarries located on Lithgow Hill. The small community adjacent to the quarries was called Bodwell in the early 1900's. It was named after Joseph Bodwell who founded the company and became the Governor of Maine in the late 1887. The area is referred to today as Granite Hill.
