Description
The residence of Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Buxton, Buxton's Store and also the Abbot Congregational Church.
David Horace Buxton was the founder of the Buxton Medicine Company and produced a cure-all that was shipped across the country. His product was distributed locally with a specially constructed horsedrawn wagon.
Buxton owned and operated the general store in Abbot for over 69 years until his death in 1941. The Abbot Congregational church was built in 1875.
