Description
Admiral Peary's daughter Marie Peary (right) with Ahlikahsingwah, an Inuit woman who bore two of Peary's children, including Anaukaq (center). Polar explorer Robert E. Peary graduated from Portland High School and Bowdoin College and his home on Eagle Island in Casco Bay is now a State Historic Site.
