Description
On Memorial Day, May 30th, 1913, members of the the Stephen Davis GAR Post #11 dedicated this bronze urn, and placed it on the Soldiers' Monument in the Village Cemetery in Pittsfield.
The monument on which the urn stands was dedicated to soldiers and sailors of 1861 to 1865 by the Davis GAR Post and the Woman's Relief Corps #6. Nearby are many graves of Pittsfield's Civil War veterans.
