Description
Pittsfield's Memorial Day Parade route ends at the Village Cemetery, where members of the Warsaw Middle School Band play music, concluding with "Taps", near the flag pole at the mausoleum.
The nearly mile-long route begins at the North Main Street bridge where a wreath is thrown into the Sebasticook River in honor of lost seaman. The parade continues along Main Street, where it stops both at the Veterans Park Monument and the Soldiers' Monument on the library grounds to place wreaths in their honor, before proceeding to the cemetery.
Generations of children and veterans have participated in his time honored parade that has followed this same route decade after decade.
