Description
Farmer and Reverend Emery Butts sat for photographer Chansonetta Stanley Emmons in a table-chair. The piece of furniture was a fold up table and chair combination, popular during the 18th thorough early 20th centuries for saving space.
Emmons entitled this image "Old Table Chair #2" and used it to illustrate her self-published book, "The Old Table Chair" in 1909.
