Description
Deacon Benjamin Weston settled on 600 acres in Madison in 1786. Weston Homestead remained in this family for 225 years.
The Weston family created the Weston Homestead Farm Corporation in 1974, and the farmstead was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Maine Farmland Trust acquired a conservation easement on 65 acres of Weston Homestead farmland in 2014.
