Description

Waldo County extension agent, Phil Parsons, taught National Youth Administration workers to lay out and plant trees in abandoned farm fields. Local 4-H and community volunteers also helped with this effort. Eventually, 190,000 seedlings were planted, becoming the first Town Forest in Troy.
