Description
This long tunic with matching pant ensemble was brought from the Guandong Province in China by Toy Len (Chen) Goon (1891-1993) after her marriage to Dogan Goon, when she came to live in Portland.
Made from blue jacquard-woven cotton damask fabric, the fabric has a bamboo and floral motif. The tunic is long sleeved with a high neck line and short banded collar. The collar is trimmed with a delicate light blue and pink scalloped tape. Chinese knot buttons in the center of the neck to hold the tunic closed.
