Description
In August 1882, Peterson’s Magazine reported: “Velvet-figured goods will also be extensively worn next season." An example is this copper colored two-piece silk faille bustle dress, with plain sleeves and jacket effect. A cut-velvet front panel on the skirt includes a floral design resembling tulips.
