Description
The Pierce homestead in West Baldwin was constructed in 1785 by the firm of Baldwin and Pierce of Woburn, Massachusetts, and lived in by Josiah Pierce.
This Federalist dwelling is one of the oldest houses in Baldwin.
Josiah Pierce brought his wife, Phoebe Thompson up on horseback from Woburn in 1787. A sizable extension was added in 1922.
