Description
This footbridge was built across the Kennebec River to facilitate the workers' travel from one side to the other during Central Maine Power Company's construction of Wyman Dam in Moscow.
Note the large pile-up of logs in the river above the bridge. In 1929, the year this bridge was built, logs were still being transported to mills using the river's current.
