Description

Born in Rossaveal, County Galway, Ireland, Malone served in the Irish Republican Army between 1917 and 1921.

In 1923, at age 26, he went to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He later came to Portland and worked on the docks, along with many other Gaelic-speaking Irish.
