Description
This portrait is of Charles A. Garcelon (1842-1935) with his granddaughter, Glenda Gay Garcelon (1909-1966).
Garcelon, a native of Lewiston and veteran of the 16th Maine Infantry Regiment during the Civil War, lived in St. Louis and Chicago for many years where he worked as general superintendent of the Pullman Car Company from 1889 to 1906. He retired to Lovell to a home he had built in 1908-1909 on Kezar Lake.
Glenda Gay Garcelon was the daughter of Albert B. Garcelon (1878-1969), the younger son of Charles and Esther Garcelon.
