Description
Located on the rockbound shore of Friendship, these two buildings contain the dining room and reception hall, and sleeping quarters of the Argyle Inn. It had a dining room that would comfortably seat 150 people and on the second floor ten bedrooms, a bathroom, and a trunk room. The kitchen was located in a separate building.
The Inn, pictured in the background, contained a large reception room and additional sleeping quarters on the second floor. All the buildings of the Argyle Inn boasted modern plumbing, which consisted of a single toilet in each building, "running water and the latest approved open plumbing, all drained to low water mark."
