Description
The Owl, a side-wheeler scow, is loaded with hardwood logs on Moosehead Lake for the veneer mill in Greenville. The lumbermen used scows to transport oxen, men, supplies, and logs around the lake. The steam scows were eventually replaced by steamboats.
