Description
The launching of the schooner Theoline #1 in Belfast in 1900 drew a large crowd.
She was built by George A. Gilchrist at the shipyard located at the foot of Miller Street for owners Fred McQuesten and others. The Theoline was sold to a New York company in 1907 and her name changed to Lakewood.
She sank on April 29, 1907, off Cape Hatteras, N.C.
