John Haraden Quimby, Belfast, 1861

Description

John Haraden Quimby (1829-1899) was the son of Phineas P. Quimby and Susannah B. Quimby.
He served as treasurer of the Belfast Savings Bank, as Belfast City Clerk, and as clerk of the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad.
Known for his fine penmanship, John H. Quimby, had the honor of writing the names of the quilt stitchers on the white stripes of the Belfast Civil War Quilt.
