Description
The American flag with its embellishing gold fringe and a tassel at each corner hung in the hall of the building on Park Street in Pittsfield, owned by the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) members of the Stephen Davis Post #11. The building was demolished in the 1970s as part of an urban renewal project.
O. S. Haskell Camp Sons of the Veterans, Auxiliary #8 owned this flag. They met on the first and third Wednesday of every month.
