Description

The lower half of this large wall map depicts the village of Thomaston, while the upper part of the map shows the greater Thomaston area. The map includes the buildings and names of property owners. The border of the map includes vignettes of various homes and other buildings, including the Knox Mansion, Maine State Prison, and the Congregational Church.

The buildings depicted belonged to the following: Edward Robinson, Rev. O. J. Fernald, Dr. M. R. Ludwig, Levi B. Gillchrist, William Flint Jr., Edward O'Brien, E. D. Blood, B. Webb, Wm Hewes, S. S. Gerry, Joseph W. Jacobs, James A. Creighton, Rufus C. Counce, Wordsworth house, Hon. John Ruggles, and Joseph H. Rivers.
