Description
A building boom at Carrabassett Valley raised the resident population from 107 to 175 in two years. Pictured are wintertime skiers taking the chairlift to the bottom of the mountain from their condominiums.
The chairlift is the Sawduster at Sugarloaf/USA. The lift was built to serve the
Sugarloaf Inn and the condominiums -- all part of the real estate boom associated with New England skiing in the late 1970s and 1980s.
