Description
Camp Tumbledown, the Forest Service fire watchman camp, taken in 1915. The watchman wrote on the back of the photo. Some of the writing is missing. He calls it a "fine little camp" and notes it has good beds, a cook stove, good dishes and a spring nearby. He also cites its distance from Skinner, Eustis (2 miles), Blakeslee (5 miles), Spence Depot Camp ( 1 1/2 miles) and 1 mile from the Tumbledown tower.
