Description
This watercolor, attributed to Alexander W. Longfellow (1814-1901) of Portland, the younger brother of poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, probably was inspired by Alexander's survey on nearby Richmond Island.
Alexander Longfellow was a noted surveyor in Maine.
