Description
The Dark Harbor wharf decorated in readiness for ex-President Theodore Roosevelt's visit. The Islesboro Inn can be seen in the background. Roosevelt gave the dedication speech of the reopening of the Islesboro Inn on August 5, 1917 (the original Inn burned in 1915). The President was visiting his daughter Ethel Derby, who vacationed on Islesboro.
