Description
Petition by the heirs of Rishworth Jordan of Biddeford to York County Probate Judge Stephen Thatcher. The family was petitioning that Ralph Tristram Jordan, a family member and lawyer, be appointed administrator of the estate. The letter was witnessed by male and female family members. The Jordan family was one of Biddeford's "first families," and counted among their members many sea captains and successful merchants.
