Description
Annie Blair Stephens and Chauncey William Goodrich pose on the porch entrance of the Cleaveland Mansion in Brunswick.
The Rev. Goodrich brought his family to Brunswick to begin his pastorate on December 28, 1913 at the First Parish Church.
Goodrich was called to the American Church in Paris when WWI began. He resigned from First Parish Church and went to Paris in April 1917.
Rev. Dr. Goodrich retired from active duty, and with his wife, returned to the house that they had built in Brunswick in May 1926. He remained in Brunswick until his death at age 91.
Goodrich was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1864. He and Annie Stephens (1867-1943) married on November 27, 1894. She was from New York City.
