The Townsend Brothers manufactured carriages at 9 Jefferson Street, Biddeford from about 1890 to around 1910. The crew of the Townsend Brothers Carriage shop are: (left to right) David Berry, Fred Watson, Charles H. Townsend, Jesse Charles Townsend, John Alden Hanson Townsend, George E. Townsend, and Alonzo Kimball.
