Description
Three sons of Lewis and Mary Bellows Hill Pierce of Portland, pose for a portrait.
From left are Thomas Lewis Pierce (1877-1955), John Alexander Pierce (1878-1949), and Henry Hill Pierce (1875-1940).
The father and all three boys graduated from Bowdoin College. Lewis Pierce, who became a lawyer, was in the class of 1852; Thomas, a banker, in the class of 1898; John, a writer, in the class of 1901, and Henry, a lawyer, in the class of 1896.
