Description
Jonathan G. Hunton (1781-1851) was born in Unity, N.H. He practiced law and lived in Readfield.
He served as governor of Maine from 1830 to 1831 and worked to establish the state's first mental hospital.
He served in the Maine Senate and House from 1832 to 1834.
