Description
While synagogues have been the site for many Jewish traditions and rituals, families also are important to upholding Jewish identity.
In this photo of a Passover Seder in Bangor, Myer Minsky is at the head of table. To his left is probably his wife, Beth Goldsmith Minsky. At right are Harry Epstein, his daughter Eleanor Epstein, his wife, Ruth, and daughter Gail.
The Passover Seder, a ritual feast that is most often held in a family setting, retells the story of the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt.
