Description
A dress design from an unidentified Paris fashion house is named "Coquelicots," or poppies, and is dated October 1930.
The dress is made of black chantilly with poppies as decorations. It cost 3000 francs.
The drawing and others like it from several Paris fashion firms belonged to Mildred G. Burrage (1890-1983) of Kennebunkport, an artist who had studied and lived in Paris in the early 1910s.
