Description
A Tichnor postcard of a tranquil pond scene promoting Maine as Vacationland, featuring brightly colored wildflowers, boats and a fire pit. The Vacationland slogan was first used on the Maine license plate in 1936.
The caption reads, "Greetings from the State of Maine, Vacationland."
The Boston printing firm Tichnor Brothers, Inc. published this type of linen postcard circa 1920-1935.
