Description
The Bangor Telephone Exchange was built in 1931 and is one of several architecturally significant buildings erected in Bangor in the decades following the Great Fire of 1911. The building's dramatic Art Deco style, shown here in the moonlight, made it a notable tourist attraction and suitable for a postcard. The caption reads, "Telephone Building at night, Bangor, Maine."
The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1930-1945.
