Description
Looking downhill on Main Street in Danforth, the first building on the right is the Danforth House. Next to it is the Carleton building, where George Carleton had a watch repair business, jewelry store, and printing shop.
The next building is B. S. Green & Brothers Co., more recently the T & K. The B. S. Green Store was known for its big give-away after inventory was taken when free goods were given out from a second-story window.
The first building on the left was once a creamery. The site of the last large building in the block became the town park.
Across the intersection of Main and Central Streets people are walking across the wooden bridge. On the far right is the Glenn House, which was the main building for the Habitation Center as of 2013.
Back up the hill, the residence of Dr. Curtis is on the left and the boarding house of Joel Foss on the right.
