Description
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Leisure Lady ferry carried cars from Rubb Cove on Raymond Neck to Frye Island. Ferry service was 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Captain and Mate slept in the trailer on the mainland.
At the time of this photo, the gantry system had not yet been installed.
As of 2021, the Leisure Lady continues to make numerous runs daily to and from the island, usually between 7:00 am and 10:00 or 11:00 pm.
