Description
Flora Brooks served as librarian for over 30 years at the Farmington Public Library. Her great-grandfather, Francis Tufts was an original settler, and the family continues to reside in the area. At the request of the citizenry her remains were taken to the rotunda of the Cutler Memorial (Farmington Public) Library for memorial services. "Rarely will one find a man or woman so devoted to a cause as was Mrs. Brooks to the Farmington Public Library. When a gift was bestowed upon the library she received it as a mother would receive a gift for her child". from the obituary, Franklin Journal, September, 1922.
