Description
Writing from northern Virginia, William B. Adams of Co. K, 5th Maine Infantry, thanked his sister Mary for the large Thanksgiving box she sent.
He also reported that his was the best brigade in the division, and the regiment the best in the brigade, and the company the best in the regiment -- and that they had the best officers.
